Dreaming of a nicer home, part seven (previously). We found a new apartment in Parc Ex and it’s nothing like this. We move in next weekend! I’ve got the day off work today so I’m going through my clothes deciding what to get rid of and what to pack, and yes, this is a day-long project.

Now this is basically what I’m talking about when I say I’m “Dreaming of a nicer home” (part six). Open space. Different areas. Although separate rooms could be good. This is actually a squatted, abandoned school. (jan postma via brynnachilds, jennilee)

Dreaming of a nicer home, part four

I covet country homes with sloped ceilings and arched passageways and lots of natural light on white wood.

Dreaming of a Nicer Home, Part Three: Open Concept Closet Edition.
Forget for a second that this is a warehouse for an online shop. Picture it as my loft. Every morning I’d get up, throw on my slippers, pour a cup of coffee and then take a stroll down Rolling Rack Lane.
(DOANH is quickly becoming a regular series. I’ll stop once I find the perfect apartment.)

Dreaming of a nicer home, Part Two. (see part one)
This photo was taken at my friend Justyna’s apartment that she owns. Here she is, climbing up the ladder to her rooftop garden where she grows all kinds of vegetables. This woman can tell you about different kinds of leaves and which plants need how much sunlight and she makes preserves in the winter and sews her own clothes. Her rooftop has an amazing view.
